Can-Am Bombardier | Quad Bikes | ATVs
Since the early 70′s, Can Am have been producing a range of machines for Motocross and Enduro using the Austrian Rotax engine, which was produced by one of Bombardiers’ subsidiary companies. Right from the beginning, the Can Am range became a winning team, taking medals in the Six Days Trial which was the motorsport equivalent of the Olympics. Over the years, Can Am have moved sideways from recreational vehicles in to manufacturing transit vehicles and also aviation equipment. In 1983, Bombaridier licenced the manufacturing of Can Am to a UK based company in Lancashire called CCM – who carried the company profile forward until 1987 when it stopped manufacturing the Can Am range of bikes. In 2006, Can Am decided to reintroduce the range of All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) through the Bombardier Recreational Products branding, or now better known as BRP. This started a wave of new ATVs and Quad Bikes, plus the alternative road going machine called the Can Am Spyder – which was developed on a motorcycle concept, but with two wheels at the front and one at the rear.
