2010 Triumph Motorcycles Daytona 675
Triumph Motorcycles was founded in 1902, and is the largest manufacturer in Britain of any type of motorbike. In 2002, the Triumph Factory in Hinckley, Leicestershire, caught fire with fear that this would be the end of a very popular period for the UK based manufacturing plant that was producing over 750 motorcycles per week.
Shortly before the fire, the owners of Tiumph Motorcycles had announced that they were considering moving the manufacturing of their machines abroad, sparking fears of 100′s of job losses in Leicestershire.
This was not carried through, and the plant on the old Meriden Site in Jacknell Road, Hinckley was raised from the ground and put back into production, thanks to a great team from Bloors Builder, who were the owners of the Triumph brand.
Since then, Triumph production has gone from strength to strength, now turning out nearly double the amount of machines they were back in the early part of the decade. And, now they even strated to use the Triumph bikes in the AMA British Championships as well as the British Superbikes.
